Deolo Hills is part of a broad eastern Kalimpong hill belt of villages, ridges and forested valleys around Kalimpong and Pedong. Deolo is the highest point of Kalimpong town at about 1,704 metres and is known for panoramic views over Kalimpong, the Teesta/Relli valleys and the Himalayan skyline. For travellers who prefer smaller places over crowded sightseeing hubs, it works best as a slow-travel base: spend time on village roads, enjoy the changing hill light and use the surrounding circuit for short local excursions. A stay of a night or two is usually enough to absorb the setting without rushing.

How to reach
From New Jalpaiguri (NJP) or Bagdogra, drive via Sevoke and NH10 toward Kalimpong, then continue on the appropriate local road toward Pedong or the village. Allow roughly 3–4.5 hours in normal conditions.
