Best time to visit
September to May is generally comfortable for sightseeing. Monsoon turns Meghalaya intensely green and dramatic, but heavy rain can disrupt outdoor plans.
How to reach
Most visitors fly or take the train to Guwahati and continue by road to Shillong. Shillong Airport has limited regional connectivity.
